Privacy Policy

Last updated: December 7, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how Live Oak Workshop LLC ("Live Oak Workshop", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the NanoQuote application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). We know terms pages can be intimidating, so we have tried to keep this one plain and reasonable.

Who we are

NanoQuote is built and operated by Live Oak Workshop LLC, a small fabrication shop based in San Antonio, Texas. We use NanoQuote internally to run our own fiber laser quoting and offer it to other shops as a hosted service.

Information we collect

We collect and process information in three main categories:

  • Account and contact information. When you sign up or are invited to use NanoQuote, we may collect your name, email address, organization name, and basic account details.
  • Workspace and quote data. This includes machine and material settings, pricing rules, customer names and contact details, quote line items, and files you upload (for example DXF files) so the Service can generate and manage quotes.
  • Usage and technical data. We may collect basic log and usage information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and actions taken in the app to keep the Service reliable and improve it over time.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the NanoQuote Service.
  • Secure your account and protect the Service from abuse.
  • Respond to your requests, questions, and support tickets.
  • Understand how the Service is used so we can make it better.
  • Communicate with you about important changes, new features, and, occasionally, product or billing updates. You can opt out of non-essential email at any time.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in limited situations:

  • Service providers. We use reputable third parties to host and operate parts of NanoQuote (for example, infrastructure providers, authentication, and payment processors). These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to handle it securely.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Live Oak Workshop, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If we ever undergo a merger, acquisition, or other change in control, relevant data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the protections in this Policy.

Data retention

We keep your account data and workspace content for as long as your organization uses NanoQuote. If your subscription ends or you request deletion, we may retain limited information for a reasonable period where required by law, to resolve disputes, or to maintain proper business records.

Security

We take security seriously and use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No hosted service can promise perfect security, but we design NanoQuote with sensible safeguards and review our setup over time.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete certain personal information we hold about you. In practice, the easiest way to exercise these rights is to contact us.

If you have questions about your data or would like us to update or remove certain information, email us at support@nanoquote.app and we will do our best to help, subject to any legal obligations we have to keep specific records.

Children's privacy

NanoQuote is designed for businesses and is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through the Service. Your continued use of NanoQuote after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
